Yesterday, our cricket team attended the CPSL cricket tournament at Colchester Cricket Club and ended up getting all the way to the final, where they narrowly lost to North Primary School. I was ever so impressed with everyone who played in the team, their behaviour and how well they were able to organise themselves on the pitch. They were very well captained and each player contributed in some way during the course of the tournament. It has also been fantastic to see so many children attend this year's cricket club and watching them improve and play with a smile on their faces has been very satisfying. Thank you to Mr Gibbs, for his help coaching, and Mr Barnes helping out when I couldn't attend the last tournament. Mr Faithfull

Girls' Football v Great Totham - 'The Invincibles'
Our girls' football team completed their season this afternoon with another convincing win, this time against Great Totham Primary school. This means the girls have been unbeaten in all the matches they have played (in tournament and friendly games) throughout the year. Congratulations to everyone who has represented the team - you have all improved so much! Thank you to Mr Barnes and Mrs Abbott for giving the girls the opportunity to play so many matches.

CPSL Athletics Tournament - Heathlands Primary
Our athletics squad (made up of children from years 3, 4, 5 and 6) attended a tournament at Heathlands Primary School today. They competed in a range of individual and relay running events as well as throwing and jumping. I was so proud of the sporting talent that was on show throughout the squad and so many medals were won for finishing inside the first three positions. Overall, we finished second in both the year 3/4 and years 5/6 event - a fantastic achievement.
A special thank you to the adults who either took their children directly to Heathlands or helped to transport members of the squad from our school - without your help we would have been unable to offer this sporting opportunity to so many children.
