National League Football Tournament

On a bitterly cold day in Braintree, our school football team competed in the National League football tournament arranged by Braintree Town F.C.

The squad included children who had played regularly for the school before and some that were experiencing their first competitive action.

The team experienced mixed results: a strong start in the fast game and a great comeback in the second game were two highlights. Unfortunately, we did not achieve enough points to progress from our group. At the end of the tournament, we spoke as a group about the things we want to keep doing in future tournaments and matches and the areas where we would like to improve.

I hope all of the children have thawed out for today's learning and thank you to the parents that came along to support the team. The hot drink from Alex's dad was much appreciated! Also, thank you to Mr Barnes who attended the tournament with me.

Netball: Lexden v Kelvedon

Kelvedon V.S Lexden Netball Match

The whistle sounded and the game immediately flew into action with Kelvedon and Lexden players sprinting into the centre third. The ball was thrown in every direction imaginable and flew from player to player. Finally the match ended . . . Lexden had scored an amazing four goals but Kelvedon scored a whopping 6. 6:4 was a great result for Kelvedon!

Well done to: Freya, Cameron, Shauna, Daisy, Evie, Sally and James for playing a brilliant game of netball.

On the 14^th of November, Kelvedon went to the Colchester football finals. They played well and scored lots of goals but it was only enough to put them in 2^nd place - 1 point behind Chapel. Unlucky Kelvedon. Congratulations Chapel.
