Colchester United Community Kids Cup

Our football team competed in the Colchester United community kids cup today at Shrub End in Colchester. The team played fantastically well to win all of their six games in the group stage and then passed safely through their quarter final and semi final match. In the final, we took the lead early but were pegged back and eventually ended up on the wrong end of a 2 v 1 defeat. I was very proud of the team today, they were superb throughout the tournament and were mighty unlucky not to end up the eventual winners. It was lovely to see the team play in the correct spirit and at times our passing and pressing was very impressive. We have many games and tournaments to play over the coming months and this tournament was a great way to kick off the new year. Mr Faithfull

Year Five - Indoor Sports Hall Athletics

After qualifying through class trials, a group of children from year five attended the Colchester and Blackwater indoor sports hall athletics tournament today. This is the first year our school has attended the event and what a super time everyone had. A range of jumping, throwing, bouncing and team running was on display and our children competed very well and with a great attitude. Well done everyone - all of the adults were very proud of you today and it was lovely to hear a parent from another school comment on how fantastic your behaviour was. Cross Country Club

Cross country club starts next Tuesday lunchtime at 12.55 on the infant field. It is open to anyone in year 5 or 6 who would like to try and qualify for the out-of-school cross country tournament in early March. You must have a change of clothes and shoes to take part in the club. If you have play leader duty on that day, it is your responsibility to arrange for someone to cover you.

Any questions, come and talk to Mr Faithfull
