Girls' Football v Friar's Grove

Our girls' football team played their first league game of the season against an inexperienced Friar's Grove Primary this afternoon. Everyone from the squad got to play in the match and some girls were playing (and / or scoring a goal) for the first time. Kelvedon ended up comfortable winners and look well prepared for Thursday's regional finals. Mr Faithfull

Colchester Blackwater Rugby Tournament

Our rugby team competed in the Colchester Blackwater rugby tournament on Monday at Colchester rugby club. The team did ever so well to make it all the way to the final and come so close to being the overall winners. The team was made up of boys and girls from years 5 and 6 and some were representing the school in a sports event for the very first time. Well done to everyone who took part. Mr Faithfull

Cross Country

Our cross country squad attended the Colchester Blackwater cross country tournament at Colchester rugby club today. Despite the poor weather conditions, all of our athletes competed admirably and showed great resilience. Notable individual performances were: Amy Taylor (1st -year 5 girls' race), Zane Kemp (3rd - year 5 boys' race), James Rissen (5th - year 5 boys' race) and Zach Downes (6th - boys' year six race). Football : Kelvedon 5 v Friar's Grove 1

Kelvedon played an exciting home game against Friar's Grove today and emerged as 5 v 1 victors. The goals were shared around the team and some of our passing and counter attacking football was very impressive.
