Football - Monkwick 0 v 5 Kelvedon

Our football team played a match away against Monkwick this afternoon. A solid performance with plenty of good passing led to a 5 v 0 victory. Three different players scored and several boys were playing their first or second game for the school. Well done everybody. Mr Faithfull

Boys' CPSL Football League Table

Here is an updated league table for our boys' football team. The girls' league table will be posted once all our games have been included.

Boys' and Girls' football vs Heathlands

We had mixed fortunes for our school football teams yesterday in away league fixtures at Heathlands. Our boys' team played really well and in the words of the referee: "passed the ball around really nicely." They ended up winning the game by one goal to nil although in truth the game wasn't quite as close as the scoreline suggests. Man of the match was Ben Towler. Our girls' team came up against a well organised side and despite a long range goal in the second half by Amy, were defeated 2 v 1.
Next fixtures: Boys' v Monkwick - away (22/03/16) and Girls' v Montgomery - away (29/03/16)

Regional Football Finals - Dartford

Our boys' and girls' football teams had an exciting day at the regional football finals in Dartford yesterday. Our girls' team played ever so well and won all of their group games without conceding a goal. They came up against a very well organised and solid opponent in the semi final, where they were eventually defeated. What a great performance girls - we are all very proud of you and it is an unbelievable achievement to be the 3rd or 4th best team in the whole of the South East region.

Our boys' team put on a marvellous display of passing football which was acknowledged and commented upon by several other teachers and parents at the tournament. Unfortunately, they did not get the breaks in matches and therefore didn't make it out of the group. Regardless of the result, they can be very proud of the manner in which they play football and the achievement it was to make it to the regional finals.

Thank you to all of our parents and carers who travelled to Dartford to cheer on our teams - your support and sensible encouragement is always much appreciated.
