Colchester Blackwater Cricket Tournament

Today we took two teams to the Colchester Blackwater cricket tournament over at Colchester Cricket Club. Despite the early morning drizzle, both teams played really well and improved steadily during the tournament. Our second team narrowly lost the final after winning their group and ended up finishing second. I was very impressed with the standard of their bowling and fielding in the final. Our first team narrowly lost to the eventual winner during the group stage (they were winning with 3 balls to go) but ended strongly by winning the 4th / 3rd place final. A successful afternoon for our cricket team resulted in an impressive cup victory in the CPSL cricket tournament. Everyone contributed to the victory with fantastic bowling, powerful but sensible batting and dynamic fielding. Well done everyone! Mr Faithfull
