Netball Tournament 21st June

The netball team set out to Gilberd School for a tournament on Wednesday, hopeful of having a great day in the sun with some super netball thrown in.
Playing against 13 teams was a challenge however they made it through to the finals.  Facing St Mary's School from Colchester the children excelled themselves and came away with silver medals, having lost 4-3 in extra time at the final hurdle.

Full report to be uploaded from children shortly.  Photos of this brilliant day are below.

Many thanks to Mrs Colgrave for umpiring and Mrs Short for her side line coaching. Also thanks to Mrs Bovington for driving the team there and providing extra support.

Written by Maddy Ware and Megan Kilgour

Yesterday, Kelvedon’s netball team -who played really well- had a match against Montgomery. They played at home winning 10-3. The first two goals were scored by Evie Kettle, what an amazing way to start the game. It was a great achievement for Kelvedon as it was the first time they have won at home after unfortunately losing to Gosbecks for their first home game. Montgomery did very well but Kelvedon were still victorious. After the game Kelvedon invited Montgomery for refreshments in the cookie cave.

Well done Kelvedon!

Tag Rugby Festival - Colchester Rugby Club

Below are some photos that were taken by a photography student from the organiser (Colchester 6th Form College) of Wednesday's tag rugby festival in Colchester. Mr Faithfull

Festival Report - written by Sam and Zane

On Wednesday Mr Taylor and Mr Walsh took some rugby players to Colchester to participate in a tag rugby tournament. We left at 9:20 and we arrived back at 3:30 - Mr Walsh was driving the mini bus.

There were two teams, A and B, and both did very well, however the A team won every single game. The B team nearly won all their games.

Thank you to all the teachers that make it possible to do these activities.

Here are some more photos that were taken during the day:
