Up against the strongest team in the league we knew it would be a tough game. With only two matches behind the current team, the girls stepped out onto the pitch and took a 1-0 lead in the first half with a lovely finish by Lilia. Hard work from Amy created a few chances but unfortunately we were denied another goal. Perseverance from Heathlands paid off and they equalised with a fine shot past Ruby.
Great performances from Millie and Evie at the back kept the defence strong with Meg and Rosie running through midfield alongside Morgan, Evie and Pui Ching. Half time saw quick change around with Amy stepping into goal for Ruby.
Heathlands took a strong strike and took the score to 2-1. However Ruby never gave up, running tirelessly at the defence. Rosie fed through some fantastic balls and Ruby met them succeeding in beating the keeper once more with a wide angled shot. The Kelvedon defence stood firm with support from the midfield players and the final score was 2-2.
